Just Say No To Buying Leads


This might sound crazy to some people in my industry, but I don't advertise or buy leads to run my business.

Having been a Realtor for 10 years, I've seen many sides to this business. I’ve found that the best way to have a healthy real estate business is to continue to grow relationships and focus on building new ones through referrals. I did direct mail for almost a year and got 0 contacts from it. So, after wasting several thousand dollars, I decided I won't ever do it again.

I now focus on connecting with the people I already know - as frequently and as in as many different ways as possible. Whether it's grabbing a coffee, participating in a school event, a charity that I support or even a quick note on Facebook, I make the time to have a conversation with the people around me.

The best part is that I love talking to people and learning more about them! So, the fact that these genuine conversations keep me top of mind is just the icing on the cake. It also helps that I am very focused on my client experience. It is critical to me that they are relaxed, enjoy the process, and walk away feeling like they came out ahead.

So for those of you still buying cold leads that never convert, think about where you could be spending your time & money.....a conversation over a cup of coffee with a friend is worth so much more.
